Even though we are enjoying these wonderful summer days, skiing is never far from our minds! We are excited to announce that Southwest Airlines has just finalized it's plans for flights to the Yampa Valley Regional Airport during the upcoming ski season.
Three daily flights to/from Denver and Steamboat will begin December 19, 2020 and continue through April 5, 2021. In addition, a non-stop flight to/from Dallas and Steamboat on Saturdays and Sundays has been added to their schedule.
“This year, customers are looking to experience more of the nation’s great outdoors. By linking both Denver and Dallas nonstop to Steamboat Springs, customers across a majority of our network will be able to reach the Rocky Mountains,” said Andrew Watterson, Southwest Airlines executive vice president and chief commercial officer, in a news release.
The full schedule is now available on Southwest's website.
Steamboat is the first mountain location that Southwest has chosen to service. We are thrilled about this new development and look forward to having Southwest join the fleet of airlines already servicing our wonderful airport just a 1/2 hour from town!
